Ordinary Self

Days pass by, and we are slowly growing old.

There was a time when I always wanted to do everything perfectly, to take care of everyone, busy chasing and worrying, pushing myself to the point of breathlessness.
But as I walk through life, I realize that in the second half of life, the most important thing is not to live up to others’ expectations, but to not let yourself live too tiredly.

No need to dwell on meaningless people and things

Those trivial disputes, those insignificant evaluations, the more you take them seriously, the more tired you become;
Those people you can’t keep, those pasts you can’t return to, the more you cling to them, the more painful you become.
As we grow older, our hearts need to learn to “be lazy,” don’t take unworthy things to heart, don’t pay attention to insincere people, and save your energy for worthy people and comfortable things.

No need to take “perfection” as an obsession

When we were young, we always wanted to do our work to the extreme, to manage our families flawlessly, but as we reach a certain age, we realize that life inherently has regrets, and imperfection is the norm.
It doesn’t matter if the meal isn’t well-cooked, it’s okay if the house isn’t perfectly clean, being lazy occasionally and making small mistakes can actually make you feel more at ease.
Stop being hard on yourself, accept life’s imperfections, and accept your ordinary self.

No need to overly anxiety about the future

Children have their own paths to walk, no need to arrange everything for them;
The future has its own storms, no need to worry in advance.
Enjoy every day in the present, sunbathe in the morning, take a walk in the evening, chat with old friends, enjoy a favorite meal – these small daily moments are simple happiness.

On the path of aging, we need to learn to lighten our burden

Let go of obsessions, broaden your perspective, don’t think too much, don’t want too much.
Rest when you’re tired, calm down when you’re upset, live life a little slower and more relaxed.
The rest of life is not long, love yourself well, and don’t let exhaustion fill your life – this is the best response to the passing years.
